LI-COR (Nebraska) Adds New Wavelengths to IRDye Infrared Dye Product Line (11/24/2010)

LI-COR Biosciences designs, manufactures and markets instruments, software, reagents and integrated systems for biological research. The company was founded in 1971 by Bill Biggs, who was designing instrumentation for the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Biggs is currently the company’s President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board.

LI-COR Biosciences introduces two new IRDye® infrared dyes, for fluorescence imaging in the 650 nm and 750 nm regions. IRDye 650 and IRDye 750 NHS Esters are designed for labeling of molecules on primary amine groups. IRDye 650 and IRDye 750 Maleimides allow molecules to be labeled on free sulfhydryl groups. Fluorescent dyes at these wavelengths are well suited for a wide variety of applications, including flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. read full press release
