Luminus’ (MIT) PhlatLight LEDs Power New Spot Lights from Strong Entertainment Lighting (10/21/2010)

Luminus Devices’ PhlatLight is based on technology developed by Alexei Erchak as part of his PhD research at MIT. Erchak is the founder and CTO of Luminus Devices.

Luminus Devices, developer and manufacturer of big-chip PhlatLight® LEDs, today announced that it is powering the new Strong Entertainment Lighting Solutions 650 and 900 spot lights, used to light the largest skyscrapers and towers in the world, antennas, amphitheaters and artwork displays. The Solutions 650 and 900 lights have a total light output of 20,000 lumens and have a lifespan of 50,000 hours. read more
