Butterfly Haptics (CMU) product Maglev 200 receives 2010 R&D Award (7/8/2010)

Butterfly Haptics is a CMU spinoff providing haptic interface systems to the research, development and advanced applications communities. Maglev 200 is a product developed by Butterfly Haptics.

The award is presented by R&D Magazine to recognize the 100 most technologically significant products of the past year. Since the award program began in 1963, it has identified a number of revolutionary technologies that went on to become household names, including the automated teller machine (1973), fax machine (1975), liquid crystal display (1980), Nicoderm anti-smoking patch (1992) and HDTV (1998). Winners, listed on the R&D Awards website, will be recognized at an awards banquet Nov. 11 in Orlando, Fla.
