Luminus Devices’ (MIT) LEDs Power Acer’s new K11, the World’s Smallest 200 lm Pocket Projector (6/10/2010)

Luminus Devices is an MIT spinoff that develops and manufactures high performance solid-state light sources.

Luminus Devices Inc., designer, developer and manufacturer of high light output PhlatLight® LEDs, today announced that its PT-39 chipset is powering Acer’s K11 second generation DLP projector, the world’s smallest projector to offer a brightness of 200 lumens. Succeeding the K10 projector, the K11 offers twice the performance in a reduced footprint of only 12.2 x 11.6 mm2, and weighing a mere 0.61 Kg.
