RE2 (CMU) awarded SBIR grant

RE2, a CMU spinoff developing mobile manipulation systems, announced on Monday, May 24, that it has been awarded a Phase I SBIR grant. The grant, awarded by the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), will be used to design a Semi-Autonomous Manipulation System (SMS) consisting of a dexterous manipulator, intelligent end-effectors, visual tracking system, and intuitive graphical and speech user interface.
