One Lambda (UCLA) founder donates $50M

Paul Terasaki, founder of UCLA spinoff One Lambda focusing on the development and advancement of tissue typing, has donated $50M to UCLA’s Life Sciences department. In recognition of his gift, a new building at UCLA will be named the Terasaki Life Science Building. Dr. Terasaki is professor emeritus of surgery at UCLA and a pioneer in organ transplant medicine.
