Sugar Labs (MIT) selected by UNRWA for three years

Sugar Labs, an MIT spinoff from the One Laptop Per Child project, announced on Thursday, April 29, that its Sugar Learning Platform was selected by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. The Sugar Learning Platform will be included in half a million laptops distributed to Palestine refugee children in the West Bank and Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan over the next three years. Activities supported by the software include reading e-books, writing, drawing, web browsing, and programming.
